I heard through Wifey about Trianglehoe today.

The four of us (Mrs-To-Be, TH, W and Me) had planned to catch up for munchings (dinner or lunch) with assorted munchkins.

When Trianglehoe had said 'next weekend is good for me' - he actually meant the next weekend after the next weekend, it being a weekend when he told us this.

This weekend (which was next weekend)he has his Mom coming into town to help him look at suits for the wedding (when we did it for my wedding we ended up at the pub - he may not trust me for his own wedding!)

Next sunday we may catch up. I think.

Went out for dinner on Saturday night, a bunch of friends and my brother, at a vietnmaese restaurant in Fitzroy. Red Rice. Yum Yum.

Saw some of Trianglehoe. He gave me a book on bestman behaviour and a pornographic page from a pornographic book.

His hair has grown and looks much shmicko.

He looked well except I hope that coat wasn't really leather.

After playing phone tennis I finally managed to get 'a hold' of Triangle Hoe the other night.

We discussed wedding things, primarily dresses and suits and the time we went looking for our suits for my wedding. We looked at 2 places, forgot to get a price, and went to the pub. Wifey wasn't that impressed but we still are.

We also discussed hooking up in Eltham for dinner. NT's dad plays in an old time band (banjo) a pizza restaurant there and now with TriangleHoe and Soon-To-Be-Mrs-Triangle-Hoe living just next to Eltham (abode of my Illustrious In-Laws) it would be a convenient meeting place for people on that side of the city. Do Hippies eat Pizza?

Trianglehoe also told me how wonderful his new house is - the best house he has ever lived in since Mildura days. That may have something to do with the 'cohabiting with partner and child' stakes.

On a sad note, he has to 'see' an optometrist every couple of weeks and his new contacts scratched his eyes like a mexican siamese fighting cat. He had to squirt antibiotics into said eyes, by the bucketful which of course made him want to have a cold, cold shower to get himself under control.

I got an email from Trianglehoe today.

It said: "rockn roll."

I was shovelling and jack hammering fence holes for our new backyard when TRIANGLEHOE rang me to ask if I could help him shift house next Sunday.

Alas,

I had to say 'No can do as I am concreting and bobcatting that weekend.'

It's a shame as helping people move house is one of the highlights of having friends in the first place. As long as you get to play as hard as you work afterwards, of course.

I'll think of him while I am working my ass off all next weekend on my own house projects. It is after all very exciting that Trianglehoe is moving out of "The Flat of Sibling Revelry" into "The House of Fiance Sin".

Since TH got girlfriended and final year of nursing degreed, we don't see too much of him.

BUT

I, Toofy of defunct livejournal boyband Toofy fame, saw him on Wednesday. We both had flat whites and we talked about work, study and how dirty my face was.

I texted him just tonight, my daughter Little talked to him in hushed tones for awhile but everytime she and her brother Bruiser laughed the phone cut out. Just like Monsters INC. Life imitates Animation.

If anybody would like to add an entry about when they saw/hung out/spoke to that all round nice guy trianglehoe other wise known as Snake Head - let me know here. I'll open the mutha fuckin door and let you in.

Yesterday I went to an orientation day, for my trouble they gave em a cool Nurse tool box full of wound dressings and shirt and stuff. Later that day got a call from a hospital saying that I got a job with a hospital that I have really been wanting to get a job with.

As a result of getting this job it means that I have two weeks off school which makes me very happy.

Party party birthday party

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It was the weekend slash end of last week for celebrating my beloveds birhtday.

Thursday night had a delic meal of Mexican and a screening of Bugsy Malone, a very good movie set in prohibition America where children rule the streets and do their dirty work with the aid of cream pies and cream firing guns.

Friday was a day of car troubles, firstly the snug bug didn't want to start so we used my car which did start but alas my tyre got a flat five minutes down the road. Cursed tyre wasn't fixable so I bought a newie - the third new tyre of the week.

Friday night rocked like 1985 - club wild had break dancing, an altercation out the front of the venue that resulted in the cops needing to attend and some good times.

Saturday night the birhtday celebrations continued with 'How to host a murder' set in the 1920's. In case you wanna know who done it, it was Silky - she looks innocent but in this game no one is really free of guilt.

The next day the party continued with some lunchies, great time again was had by all except from the Toofy crew due to miscommunications. I got to meet some cool folks.

Happy days.

Netball

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Rushed with all my might to get to the Netball tonight had to turn a 40 minute bike ride into 30 minutes and damn it I did it, as a result I got there a bit puffed and flustered.

The game was a beauty with a lot of running, and some damned fine playing from the Shorts.

Phillip Isalnd fun

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Went to Phillip Island over the weekend and caught up some of the fambly. Of note once again was just the hanging out time I got to spend with me beloveds and not having to do anything in particular.

Working to pay the bills

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Quite the busy week. Lots of work and such, lot of early 6amish type days that make Jake a very tired young man. Looking forward to a little sleep but I doubt I will be gettting some for a while cause I have other things I need to do.

In other news, I've been spending money on my car, got a service and two new tyres - in the next couple of weeks I gots to get a new muffler, a water pump and a couple of engine mounts repaired.

Raaaar...Adelaide

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Just home from a great weekend in Adelaide. Went over the with the divine Larry the lion and came home with Larry and little Polly Pockets.

On the way to Adelaide Larry and I stayed at a great little place half way betwixt Melbourne and Adelaide, it had a fire, was set in a national park, had the best motel coffee ever and some good old fashioned service (the manager kept a small army of boy servants).

Adelaide was great, Larry was extremely happy to see her cub and I enjoyed meeting her brother and fambly. The house was absolutely packed but I had the most relaxing weekend with some good times thrown in for good measure.

Highlights of the weekend included catching up with Adelaide crew and Maurie the homeless photographer, watching Superman returns with Larry's bro and his work comrades (He is one of the graphics people for the moovie), drinking coopers and some good wine, learning how to shorten my trouser legs (bless ya Ma lion), coffee and baked goods on the long journey and the beautiful drive through the Adelaide hills.

Yuck yuck yuck

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Went to the comics lounge in North Melbourne last night and was pleasantly surprised that of the 6 comedians, only one of them wasn't consistently funny. Not bad considerring I was at the table with a couple of the biggest clowns in Melbourne (the Canuck and the most powerful Netballer in Melbourne). The netballers she-friend and Joe's she-friend were also present, sadly I was the lonely one at this table, at least the comedians didn't notice this.

Later on at 1am to be precise caught up with the japesters at the Canucks place to watch the soccer, good game but an unfortunate result.

June 25th, 2006

At the moment I have the wrestling going in the background (re: the title), I've had a great day and learned some old fashioned lingo courtesy of a stage play of 'Calamity Jane' (shared with excellent company).

Tomorrow I don't have work and a mild cold so I will not feel guilty about sitting around watching DVD's all day.

The only prob at the moment is that my new contact lenses are hurting.

Here is a joke:

Q. What is the biggest city in the world?
A. Dublin , it keeps on Dublin and Dublin and Dublin
